Just a reliable pick for strolling around in Old Chatham with all in all brilliant value for money. The receptionist was super helpful and even left a congratulatory card in our room for our anniversary. Try to get a room away from the train tracks if you're sensitive to noise.

the landscaping is beautifull, but the decor feels a little outdated.

missingWrote a review on Nov 07dated decor
The bed felt overly firm, leading to a less than stellar night's sleep. Cleanliness could be improved as dust was noticeable in certain areas. The decor is dated. Additional amenities, like tissues and more toilet paper, should be standard rather than requiring a request. A slight pest issue was present, with insects making an appearance due to the rural location.

the bed was so stiff, I woke up feeling like I had been wrestling an alligator. Plus, surprise! I had a lovely leak from the bathroom ceiling, which really added to my 'charming stay'. I almost praised the clean room, but I expected a welcome gift or upgrade for my troubles, so I just couldn’t.

The room was spotless and had a nice fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. I loved the covered porch with tables and chairs right outside. The gas station across the street had the best coffee, and the picnic area was great for relaxing. Perfect for a quick getaway! ☕

We had a fantastic time staying here with my grandson! The friendly staff ensured we had everything we needed. Our room was very clean and had a fridge and microwave, which made things super convenient for our family meals. Plus, the covered porch area was great for relaxing in the evenings!
In my wife’s opinion, the mattresses were a bit too firm for a good night's sleep.

Staff were incredibly helpful after my knee injury and the room was impressively clean and comfortable, making it feel like a mini vacation.
The exterior looks inviting, but outdated decor and cleanliness in certain areas could use attention to match the vibrant surroundings.

charming spot for weekend strolls and nearby parks
I had a delightful stay here with beautiful green space surrounding the hotel and helpful staff that made my trip even better. it's a perfect base for exploring the area, as the scenic Ooms Conservation Area at Sutherland Pond is just about 2 km away, ideal for nature walks and it's also a short drive to the historic Chatham Public Library which is around 5 km from the hotel.
